Our business model aims to integrate sustainable social, ecological, and economic responsibility into all our activities, going beyond statutory and legal requirements.

Our goal is to create and maintain a corporate culture that supports compliance with the rules and ethical principles outlined below to the greatest possible extent.

Kleinfeld Labortechnik GmbH hereby commits to the following principles:

Respect for human rights and compliance with the law

  • We support and respect the protection of the UN Charter of Human Rights and ensure that our business activities do not contribute to human rights violations;

  • We comply with all laws in the respective jurisdictions in which we operate, particularly regarding fair trade, data protection, intellectual property rights, anti-money laundering, and insider trading laws.

Prohibition of corruption and bribery

  • We do not tolerate any form of corruption or bribery and will not engage in such practices. This also applies to illegal payments or other benefits to government officials or political decision-makers aimed at influencing decisions.

Prohibition of child labor

  • We do not employ anyone under the applicable legal minimum working age.

Respect for the fundamental human rights of employees

  • We promote equal opportunity and non-discrimination regardless of race, gender, ethnic origin, political or religious beliefs, disability, age, or sexual orientation;

  • We respect personal dignity, privacy, and the rights of every individual;

  • We reject any form of forced labor;

  • We do not tolerate unacceptable treatment of employees, including discrimination, coercion, abusive or exploitative behavior, or sexual harassment;

  • We offer fair compensation and guarantee at least the legal minimum wage;

  • We comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding working hours;

  • We recognize employees’ rights to freedom of association and neither favor nor discriminate against members of employee organizations or trade unions.

Employee health and safety

  • We take responsibility for the health and safety of our employees in the workplace;

  • We apply the best reasonably applicable standards of precaution to control hazards and prevent accidents and occupational illnesses;

  • We maintain an appropriate occupational health and safety management system that includes regular safety training.

Suppliers and business partners

  • We promote adherence to the principles and ethical standards of this Code of Conduct among our suppliers and business partners;

  • We uphold the above principles of non-discrimination in our relationships with suppliers and business partners.

Environmental protection

  • We maintain and further develop an appropriate environmental management system;

  • We make every reasonable technical and economic effort to reduce environmental pollution beyond the applicable legal and international standards;

  • We continuously monitor the effectiveness of our environmental protection measures.

Export restrictions

  • Our export control management system strictly complies with all rules and regulations of the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as any individual agreements with suppliers regarding export restrictions;

  • We do not tolerate any form of circumvention of these regulations and will not conduct business with individuals whom we suspect may attempt to bypass these regulations. In particular, we carefully review and monitor any potential export transactions involving the following countries: Belarus, Iran, Cuba, Myanmar, North Korea, Russia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, and Crimea.

This Code of Conduct may be revised to comply with applicable laws and regulations or if the requirements for compliance principles change.
